Living Walls
Living walls or green
walls are self sufficient vertical gardens that are
attached to the exterior or interior of a building. They
differ from green façades (e.g. ivy walls) in that the
plants root in a structural support which is fastened to
the wall itself. The plants receive water and nutrients
from within the vertical support instead of from the
ground.
We Are The Global Technology Leader for Living Walls
~ Our walls are hydroponic, meaning they are DIRT
FREE and fully automated watering/ feedings. Best of all,
because they are without soil or dirt of any kind, they
are BUG FREE!
~ Plants exchange CO2 for O2, yes. But, the
detoxification or cleaning of “bad” or “toxic” air filled
with VOC’s (volatile organic compounds) is NOT cleaned by
the plants themselves, rather the roots and more
importantly, the beneficial microbes living on the roots.
So this is where our biggest unique advantage is, we have
the only living walls in the world, who’s technology acts
as a true biological filter! Inside breathing air and
nutrient rich water, BOTH, are forced through and
recirculated past the root zones. All the while, feeding
plants and detoxifying dirty VOC filled air.
~ Our living walls clean breathing air at all three
levels of filtration. Mechanical filtration, chemical
filtration, and biological filtration. No other living
wall on the market can say that!
~ Our living walls can interface with building HVAC
systems, cleaning, purifying and detoxifying the entire
building’s breathing air!! All corners of stagnant “sick
building air” are scrubbed clean within hours of
activation! Another unique competitive advantage for Root
66!!
Living Walls Are Indoor Air
Biofilters
CHANGING OUR INDOOR ENVIRONMENT
Static solution culture involves growing the plants
in water containers, which can vary in size from mason
jars to giant industrial tanks. Air is usually introduced
into the system to encourage the flow of nutrients from
the solution to the plant roots. Nutrients are added to
the solution based when needed.
Continuous-flow solution culture uses a mechanical
component (a pump) to continuously move nutrient
rich-solution past the plant roots. By keeping the
solution in circulation at all times, it attempts to
deliver the maximum amount of nutrients and oxygen to
optimize plant growth.
Improving The Indoor
Environment With Natural Systems
~ US EPA has ranked indoor air pollution in the top
five threats to public health
~ Indoor air pollution is one of the largest health
risks in the United States
